Discussion:
Welcome New Members
Reviewed mission statement and approach with new members.  Reviewed tracks of focus, notion of a loose coalition.  

Progress Reports:

Funding:  No news

Celebrations:
Will do typical Celebrations events, targeted to the 250th, except that will not hold family fun night in July, but will do a Birthday party on a Saturday in early September

Cultural:
Susan Harding joined the committee representing the Lincoln Cultural Council, agreed to lead the culture track

Education/Schools:
Carla Ricci has met with K-8 schools superintendent Mickey Brandmeyer.  He will discuss the 250th ideas with his Administrative Council and will get back to us.
Potential additional leads to support Carla need to be identified

Families:
Doris Bardsley will join the committee, representing long-standing Lincoln Families
Barb Rhines has joined bringing the perspective of younger families and an interest in history.  Betty Green, former LFA president, may also join.

Historical
The Library agreed to host a Lincoln timeline exhibit, date TBD.  
Ellen Sisco, acting Library Director, also joined to committee

Special Events/Parties:
Stacy Osur will lead the DeCordova ball event, and they are working on possible dates

Stewardship/Land:  
Sarah not yet contacted Gwyn Loud
Melissa Saulfield presented potential Park involvement

Other:
Lindsay Clemens is interested in helping on the committee
Jennie Greeson joined representing the LWV

Master Calendar:
Added new ideas:  Tours of houses from every 50 years; sledge ride for kids at the school; Bemis lecture on role of stewardship past and future.
Deleted ideas:  Garden Club Tours (wont happen in 2004); Commission a symphony for Lincoln; Oral History Project (too big); Documentary of the planning for the event; Tours of Historic Lincoln Sites (merge into house tours); Progressive Dinner (too much work); Tennis tournament (not historical)

Commemorative for the 250th  what, when, how?
