BOARD OF ASSESSORS
March 18, 2004
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 3:30PM
ROLL CALL: Members present were Ellen Meadors, Edward Morgan, Paul Marsh and John Robinson
OTHERS PRESENT: Julie Miller, Principal Assessor
MINUTES: Minutes for February 26, 2004 were read and accepted as written.
SIGNATURES: 2003, 2004 MVE warrants; a schedule of bills and monthly lists were signed.
CORRESPONDENCE: Notice from the Selectman’s office of the Moderator’s meeting on March 24 was read. Mr. Marsh and Mr. Morgan agreed to attend.
OLD BUSINESS:
6.1) Several FY04 applications for abatements were discussed and voted on.
6.2) The FY05 estimate of new growth was submitted using building permits taken out through March 2004.
NEW BUSINESS:
7.1) Several plans for lot changes were recorded in 2004 without the information necessary to change the tax maps. The Board discussed the current policy and information necessary to follow the statute for defining conservation restrictions on the tax maps. Mrs. Miller will contact Snelling and the individual parties.
7.2) Ellen Meadors outlined the GIS database progress.
