BOARD OF ASSESSORS
September 2, 2004
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 3:30PM
ROLL CALL: Members present were Ellen Meadors, Edward Morgan and John Robinson
OTHERS PRESENT: Julie Miller, Principal Assessor
MINUTES: Minutes for August 12, 2004 were read and accepted as written.
SIGNATURES: A schedule of bills, monthly lists and motor vehicle warrants were signed.
CORRESPONDENCE:
The fiscal year Capital Budget packet and guidelines was received.
OLD BUSINESS:
6.1) FY 05 RECAP was single rate was reviewed.
6.2) The State of the Town draft report was discussed and assembled with contributions from each member. Goals for the coming year were discussed. A draft will be submitted in keeping with the Town’s schedule.
6.3) The split tax rate was discussed. An anlaysis of the impact on small businesses was examined. Mr. Morgan recommended a small shift to begin with. Mr. Robinson and Mrs. Meadors agreed.
NEW BUSINESS:
7.1) Ellen Meadors updated the Board about progress on the GIS database. She noted that the licensing issue with LLCT covers all town departments. She agreed to write up the steps needed to annually update the parcel geodatabase.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting adjourned at 4:40 PM.
