BOARD OF ASSESSORS
February 3, 2005
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 3:30PM
ROLL CALL: Members present were Ellen Meadors, Edward Morgan and John Robinson
OTHERS PRESENT: Julie Miller, Principal Assessor
MINUTES: Minutes for January 26, 2005 were read and accepted as written.
SIGNATURES: A schedule of bills was signed.
CORRESPONDENCE:
5.1) No correspondence.
OLD BUSINESS:
6.1) Several 41A tax deferral documents were signed. The liens will be sent to Town counsel to be recorded.
6.2) Metropolitan Area Planning Council delivered the aerial map software from Pictometry. Mrs. Miller met with Chuck Miller to request a schedule to load the software to several departments PCs.
There was a discussion about what sources of funding to pursue to purchase additional imagery from the Pictometry Company.
NEW BUSINESS:
7.1) A paper exploring the option price of teardowns in Lincoln by John Clapp was distributed. Board members agreed to read the paper and discuss it at a later date.
7.2) Ellen Meadors updated the Board about the activities of the Accessory Apartment Committee. A Local Initiative Program has been discussed wherein a property owner would enter into a fifteen-year agreement with the Town to create an affordable apartment. The discussion included the granting of a $1000.000 honorarium to the owner for joining the program.
