CPC Meeting Minutes
March 2, 2004
Attending: Sarah Cannon Holden, Chair, Suzie Collins, Ken Hurd, John Koenig, Colin Smith
Brief discussion of Articles 8 and 9 as printed in Town Warrant.
· Article 8 has been adjusted to allow the buy-down of a unit at Green Ridge Condominiums rather than at Battle Road Farm. However, there was an unanswered question as to whether the Green Ridge unit was sufficiently under agreement so as not to jeopardize the use of these funds if the sale does not take place. It was agreed to consult the Housing Commission, Tim Higgins and Town Counsel to clarify.
Discussion of Pending Proposals.
· Historic Preservation
Re: Paul Marsh requested for funds to create a model for preservation restrictions. It was agreed that the actual expenditure would have to run through the CPC rather than simply writing a check to the applicant.
Action: Colin will prepare presentation for TM to explain concept of preparing this model document.
Overview and Summary.
John Koenig will review numbers to be sure that they are presented in conformance to recommendations of State CPC.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously voted to recommend to TM that funds be allocated as outlined in the meeting minutes of February 3, 2004.
Preparation for TM – the following tasks were assigned:
Historic Preservation Colin
Housing Bryce
Conservation Commission Elizabeth
Unallocated Ken
It is assumed that TM votes on CPC recommendations as presented, that is without changing numbers. However, John will verify whether or not proposals can or should be voted on separately.
