Community Preservation Committee

Meeting held March 8, 2005, 7:30 PM, Town Offices
Committee members present:      John L. Koenig, Susie Collins, Ken Hurd, Peter von Mertens
Committee members absent:               Mary Cancian, Rayna Caplan, Colin Smith
Due to the weather, the committee dispensed with all items on the agenda other than final approval of the funding proposals to go before Town Meeting in April.
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously voted to recommend that the following funding proposals be submitted to vote at Town Meeting:
Housing (06-1)  construction of a new affordable home and accessory apartment on Lot #41 Sunnyside Lane, (ii) renovation to the existing single family house on, and the addition of an accessory apartment to, Lot #42 Sunnyside Lane, and (iii) condominium buy down, with a preference for a buy-down at Minuteman Commons.

Conservation (06-2) To fund part of the purchase price for the Harrington and Roe properties on Tower Road
        
350,000 
Library - roof  (06-3)  To replace the roof on the Gund addition to the Lincoln Library.
        
461,750 
Library - vault (06-8)  To fund an engineering systems design for the rare book / historic papers vault in the Lincoln Library. 
   24,000      
TOTAL   $1,269,750
        
And that a proposal be submitted to Town Meeting to approve borrowing of up to $1,245,000 for the purpose of funding the first three projects.          

There being no further business, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn.
