The committee discussed its schedule for the remainder of 2006. Monday nights are the best for all. The committee also discussed the desire to coordinate our schedule with the Capital Planning Committee, so that both committee can review proposals early enough to determine which projects would be eligible for funding by Community Preservation, and thus should be taken out of consideration by Capital Planning. The schedule was set as follows:
October 11 - due date for funding requests
October 16 - meeting
October 30 - meeting
November 20 - meeting
December 11 - meeting
John Koenig to revise the funding request form and ask Anita Scheipers to email that form and a cover letter to town committees.
The committee reviewed the proposed grant agreement with the Town’s affordable housing trust fund, which had been prepared by Tim Higgins with input from Town Counsel and John Koenig. Revisions were suggested, and John Koenig was authorized to sign the grant agreement on behalf of the Community Preservation Committee with those revisions, and any other minor changes staying within the scope of the agreement as reviewed by the committee.
The committee discussed the upcoming State of the Town meeting and the need to submit a written report card. The committee agreed that the prior year’s report card should be updated and submitted for inclusion in the SOTT report.
