2009 SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT

To either of the Constables of the Town of Lincoln in said County:
GREETINGS:
In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify the legal voters of said Town of Lincoln qualified to vote at Town Meeting for the transaction of Town Affairs to meet for the special town meeting in the Donaldson Auditorium in said Lincoln on Saturday, the seventeenth day of October, 2009 at 9:30 a.m., then and there to act on the following articles, by posting a copy of this Warrant, by you attested, in said Town, fourteen days at least before the 17th day of October next.”

Any person requiring this warrant in a larger print format, or anyone requiring handicap related assistance at the town meeting, please contact the Selectmen’s Office at 781-259-2600 prior to Tuesday October 6, 2009. Every reasonable attempt will be made to provide the necessary assistance.

ARTICLE 1
To see if the Town will rescind the vote previously taken under Article 8 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant appropriating the sum of $55,000 for the purchase of a wood chipper for the Highway Department; or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will rescind the vote previously taken under Article 17 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant appropriating the sum of $21,000 for the Hartwell building curtain wall design for the Lincoln Schools; or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to reduce the appropriation previously voted under Article 16 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant for the Brooks School asbestos abatement, from $95,750 to $49,750; or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to reduce the FY10 Lincoln School appropriation, previously voted under Article 7, line 1310 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant, from $9,280,723 to $9,155,723; or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to reduce various FY10 departmental operating budget line items previously appropriated under Article 7 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant to rebalance the FY10 operating budget; or take any other action relative thereto.

To see if the town will vote to transfer a sum of money from the Town of Lincoln High School Stabilization fund for the purposes of rebalancing the FY10 operating budget; or take any other action relative thereto

To see if the Town will vote to reduce the appropriation previously voted under Article 18 of the March 28, 2009 town meeting warrant for the Reed Field house roof replacement, which appropriation was subject to a capital outlay exclusion, from $190,000 to $160,000; or take any other action relative thereto.
