TOWN ARCHIVES GRAND RE-OPENING
An event celebrating the Town Archives and their new home in the renovated Vault will be held at the Lincoln Library on Sunday, November 1, 2009, from 3:00 to 5:00. Former Library Trustee, Emily Althausen, will be the Guest of Honor. The program will feature Lincoln native, Elise Lemire, and her book, Black Walden: Slavery and Its Aftermath in Concord, Massachusetts. The book is the October selection for the Library’s “One Town, One Read” program; copies of the book are available at the Library, the Town Clerk’s office and the Concord Bookshop. Tours of the Archives Vault will be conducted following the program.
