LINCOLN HOUSING COMMITTEE
MINUTES
MARCH 11, 2003


Present:  T. Bornstein, R. Caplan, BJ Scheff, G. Taylor, M. Troy
Guest:  Avram Kalisky

Minutes:  February 25, 2003 approved

Updates:  
Scheff will follow up on the CHAPA membership.  
Scheff announced that approximately 2 acres of land abutting the Route 117 gas station is due to go on the market after April 15.  
Sunnyside property, lot number 40 has been transferred to the Town in lieu of unpaid taxes.  This lot has a conservation trail on it and is quite wet.
Discussion on the amount of rent on 30 Sunnyside; Caplan to contact Diana Smith at Caldwell Banker to check on rents of comparable three bedroom homes on a small lots surrounded by conservation land.  
St. Anne's Field is requesting from the Selectmen a public meeting during the week of April 28th.  
Commission heard the Lottery preference changes and approved the disability and family wording. More discussion followed on the lottery pool concept.  Voted to use the extra ticket concept.  This will be revisited if the system doesn't work.  
The Commission will update the waiting list when the units become available.  
Bornstein presented "Policies Governing Occupancy of Affordable Housing Units  Owned or Managed by the Town of Lincoln"; further discussion to follow.  
Bornstein stated that his term of office is over in summer 2003 and he does
not plan to stay on.
