Housing Commission Minutes
January 24, 2006
Present: George Georges, Avram Kalisky, BJ Scheff, and Bryce Wolf
Minutes: The minutes of January 10, 2006 were approved with a minor correction
Bills: Bills were paid for repairs made at 30 Sunnyside and on Tower Rd.
Accessory Apartments: Scheff distributed a revised LIP Units Only Application for the affordable accessory apartment program. She noted that she has never received comments from DHCD on a draft sent in March 2005. This is the “final” version.
HOME Agreement: The HOME agreement for the Greenridge condominium has been revised to meet HOME requirements. The Lincoln Foundation has been designated as the Town’s agent.
Lincoln Foundation: Scheff commented that we should explore what is required to have the Lincoln Foundation assume the official role of a Housing Partnership with the Town.
CHODA: Scheff also noted that Lincoln is part of the Waltham CHODA. Perhaps this agency could function as a non-profit developer to assist with the Sunnyside project? She will follow up.
Sunnyside Apartment: Sam Rappaport joined the meeting and presented elevations for the proposed apartment addition to 30 Sunnyside. The proposed apartment is 746 sq. ft.
The size of the residence must be determined to establish the ratio. Should the existing plan be drawn to show decks? It is not yet clear where the best parking access for the apartment should be. Putting it on the same lot means either a long walk or breaking up the front yard. Using the adjacent lot might be better. Wolf will follow up on the permiting procedure with Mark Whitehead toward Planning Board and ZBA approvals.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
The next meetings are scheduled for February 14 and 28 at 7:30 a.m.
