Housing Commission Minutes of July 17, 2007

Business:
Sunnyside Tenant Status
Letters were mailed to those whose numbers were drawn first in the lottery, with further instructions.  CORI checks, credit checks, and financial qualification information must be submitted by Thursday, July 19.  Renel and Pam will review the applications and schedule the CORI and credit checks.
Minuteman Tech
George Georges wrote a letter of thanks to the students, faculty, and administration of Minuteman Tech for their excellent work in building #30.  The letter was approved by the Commission and will be sent to Minuteman.
Accessory Apartments
Gus Brown submitted a proposed form letter to be sent to accessory apartment owners after their five-year commitment is complete.  This letter was approved and will be used in the future.  Gus Brown will be the first recipient.
Pope Industries
There are still items waiting to be completed on #26; the siding needs to be repaired, and the crawl space needs insulation installed.  The Commission agreed to continue to withhold the full retainage plus an additional amount to cover the cost of these repairs in the event that Pope does not make the needed repairs within 30 days of the granting of the occupancy permit.  The Commission authorized Earl Midgley and George Georges to determine the exact amount to be withheld.
