Housing Commission Minutes of September 25, 2007
Members Present: BJ Scheff, Rayna Caplan, Pam Gallup, George Georges, Mary Sheldon

Call to Order: 7:30 AM
Business:
State of the Town
Scheff stated the State of the Town in scheduled for November 3 with a report due by October 15th.  Caplan requested an update on the Housing Plan 2004.  
Minutemen Commons
Discussion on Minutemen Commons concentrated on around perhaps bring up to 25% by getting additional units at affordable rates IF the 55 restriction was removed.
Sunnyside Costs
Georges and Fredriksen have an appointment with Anita, and will make one with the Finance Committee to ask for funds to cover the shortfall.  
Approved the cleaning crew for Sunnyside at $675, 3 garbage sheds at $139 and 3 garbage cans at $15.  The money to come out of rents collected.
Ryan Estates
Scheff spoke of the Ryan Estates affordable units to be added to our 40B.  They need our support regarding the 1800 sq. ft. space that is available for rental.
CPC/Affordable Housing Trust/TILL Meeting
Caplan gave an update on the CPC meeting and announced the meeting of the Housing Trust and TILL on October 3 at 8am on group housing.  Judi Barett will prepare a list of small houses based on assessed value and square footage.
Caplan will speak to Earl Midgley re: budget to update the 65 Tower Road house; numbers submitted to the CPC on October 2.
Lincoln Woods
Avram Kalisky discussed the "Housing and Community/Senior center Complex in South Lincoln" proposal. Gave background information, the Commission will follow up at out October meeting and will consider a third party to check out the feasibility.
