Housing Commission Minutes of October 30, 2007

Call to Order: 7:30 AM
Minutes: Rayna moved and Renel seconded accepting the minutes from the October 23 meeting. Passed Unanimously.
Business:
Bill Schedules
Bills were presented for approval.
Sunnyside Maintenance
Earl presented options for reducing water on the floor of the 2-bedroom unit, and recommended installation of a shower head.
George moved and Pam seconded authorizing purchase of a heavy duty weighted shower curtain and a collapsible water dam. Passed Unanimously.
Rayna moved and Pam seconded installing a shower head in the 2-bedroom unit. Passed Unanimously.
Sunnyside Landscaping
Rayna gave an update on the plans for landscaping. Earl reported that grass seed and fertilizer had been deliver for spreading, complements of the DPW.
Sunnyside One-Bedroom
Pam reported that the 1-bedroom unit has been rented, with the tenant scheduled to move in on December 1. Earl reported that the oil tank is running low. Pam moved and Rayna seconded authorizing Earl to arrange to have the oil tank filled. Passed Unanimously.
Community Preservation Committee
The Commission reviewed final copies of the two CPC proposals approved at the previous meeting.
FY2009 Budget
Renel reported a discussion with Tim Higgins (Town Administrator) about budgeting a line item for Commission expenses outside of maintenance. Renel moved and Pam seconded requesting $1,000.00 for a budget line item to cover Commission dues and incidentals for FY2009. Passed Unanimously.
Housing Trust Joint Meeting
The Commission discussed the upcoming meeting with the Housing Trust, which Tim Higgins will facilitate.
Meetings
Renel moved and Rayna seconded scheduling weekly meetings, every Tuesday until further notice. Passed Unanimously.
