Group Home
Renel Fredriksen reported that the owner's of the property we considered ideal for a group home were mildly interested in selling. Since there has been concern that they are asking too much money for the house, we agreed to obtain an independent bank appraisal. The Lincoln Foundation will pay for the appraisal. Renel Fredriksen will make the arrangements for the appraisal.
Gary Taylor moved and Mary Sheldon seconded approving TILL to manage a group home in Lincoln: voted unanimously. Although many were more impressed with CMARC, there was a concern that they could not move fast enough to establish a home.
Gary Taylor volunteered to check with Tim Higgins to determine what local initiative is needed to assure that these units are counted towards our Subsidized Housing Inventory.
Gary Taylor also volunteered to check with Town staff and Town Counsel to get information on the bid process.
