Minutes of April 5, 2008

Group Home
Renel Fredriksen reported that CMARC did get the request from DMR that they had mentioned during their presentation. They do need to find a home for four men by July 1, who will be moved from other locations. We agreed to encourage them to find a house in Lincoln.
Gary Taylor suggested that we should purchase a home for CMARC as a buy-down, with a deed restriction.
Gary Taylor expressed a desire to involve neighbors as soon as a house has been selected.
Ellen Meyer Shorb volunteered to speak with other towns to see how they have dealt with Town ownership of properties as compared to the properties being owned by the management firms.
Terri Morgan and Renel Fredriksen reported that a previously unknown agency, The Edinburg Foundation, had purchased a house on Bypass Lane which is currently being renovated as a group home. Renel Fredriksen and Pamela Gallup volunteered to determine if ti was possible to include those units in our Subsidized Housing Inventory, and if so, how.
TILL Discussion
Dafna Krouk-Gordon and Kevin Stock of TILL came representing TILL. They had a list of questions which had been distributed to members. These were intended to guide us in a discussion, so we all would have an understanding of the selection process.
Dafna will mail a packet of information to all Troika members. Renel Fredriksen agreed to act as conduit for all information that can be sent electronically.
Community Participation
It was agreed that a discussion of how to involve the community would be postponed until TILL was further along in the selection process.
