Lincoln Housing Commission
Meeting Minutes of April 7, 2009 at 7:30 am
Lincoln Town Hall, Donaldson Room
Present: Renel Fredriksen, Connie Lewis, George Georges, Pam Gallup
Also present: Anita Scheipers
Actions and Discussion:
- Mutchler was not present but joined the meeting via speaker phone from her home.
- Minutes: Gallup moved and Lewis seconded to approve the minutes of March 24th. The motion was approved unanimously.
- Nomination of Chair: Lewis moved and Gallup seconded to appoint Fredriksen for chair. The motion was approved unanimously.
- Committee Liaisons:
- CPC – Gallup moved and Georges seconded to appoint Fredriksen to be the Commission representative to the CPC
- Housing Trust – Lewis moved and Georges seconded to appoint Gallup to be the Commission representative to the Housing Trust.
- CLRPC (HOBE) – It was agreed by all that Mutchler would continue to be the Commission representative to the CLRPC, with Lewis as backup.
- Planning Board Task Force – It was agreed by all that Georges would continue to be the Commission representative to the Planning Board Task Force.
- Small House Task Force – Gallup moved and Georges seconded to appoint Lewis as the Commission’s representative to the yet to be formed Housing/Historical Task Force. (Name of group yet to be finalized).
- Fredriksen announced that the Housing Troika was meeting Friday April 10th at 7:30 am and that all members were encouraged to attend.
- It was agreed an informal retirement party for outgoing member BJ Scheff would be scheduled at the Pierce House later this spring. This is not intended to be a formal action of the commission, but a private party.
- Gallup presented the draft Tenant Selection Plan prepared by the housing consultant. This is the first section of the draft policies and procedures manual the consultant is assisting the commission in preparing. The committee reviewed the document and prepared a list of suggested edits and questions for the consultant. It was agreed to ask the consultant to attend the next meeting of the commission (April 28 at 4:30pm) if possible to discuss the various concerns.
- Meeting adjourned at approximately 9:00am.
