Members Present: Beth Ries, Kathy Nicholson and Elliot Curtis
Also present: Asst. Town Administrator Anita Scheipers, and Water Commissioner Penny Billings
1. The Board met with Penny Billings to look at the proposed edits to the following job descriptions: Water Superintendent, and Plant Manager.
Decisions were made as follows:
a) The edits to the Water Superintendent job description were approved, and Anita Scheipers will prepare the final version of the document. The position was agreed to be re-graded from Grade 17 to a Grade 20.
b) ) The edits to the Plant Manager job description included a change of titles to Sr. Plant manager, and various clarifications of key duties. All edits were approved, and Anita Scheipers will prepare the final version of the document. This un-graded position was agreed to be graded at a Grade 17. This was determined to be an exempt position.
c) The edits to the Plant Manager job description included a change to a new category of Plant Operator to reflect the less senior position. All edits were approved, and Anita Scheipers will prepare the final version of the document. This un-graded position was tentatively graded at a 14 or 15 – but no final decision was made awaiting additional feedback from the Water Commissioners. This was discussed as likely to be an exempt position.
