MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING
Held on July 30, 2008
At 8:00 PM in the Lower Conference Room, Lincoln Town Offices

8:00 PM REQUEST FOR MINOR CHANGE TO APPROVED SITE PLAN: THOMAS BLAKELY, 144-146 Lincoln Road, Map 95 / Lot 11, request for changes to roof design and window placement.
The applicant presented plans that showed modifications to the design for the reconstructed building at 146 Lincoln Road. The modifications included elimination of the 4 gables on the sides of the building, elimination of a window on the south side of the building, and elimination of the small roof sections along the sides of the building between the first and second floors.
Mr. Blakely stated that the roof sections were eliminated because of an architectural error in the original plans that would have resulted in a building height that exceeded 25 feet. The gables were eliminated at the request of the Planning Board, based on aesthetic concerns. The window on the south side of the building was eliminated to remedy interference with an interior stairway.
The Board and Mr. Blakely left the Town Offices at approximately 8:20 PM to visit the site. The Board verified that the requested changes were needed, and the following motion was made by Mr. Hurd and seconded by Mr. Snell.
MOVED: To approve three changes to the previously approved plan: Elimination of roof sections at the sides of the building; elimination of 4 roof gables on the sides of the building, and elimination of a window on the south side of the building. The applicant is to provide accurate revised plans reflecting these changes to the Planning Board within 7 days.
The motion was adopted unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.
