APRIL 13, 2009
Present: Noah Eckhouse, Chris Fasciano, Susie Collins, Jane Tatlock, Dan Pereira, Stacey
Mulroy, Ingrid Neri (minutes).
Minutes: The minutes were reviewed and approved as amended.
Calendar: It was decided to begin the camp financial aid discussion in April and finish it in May.
Programming:
Stacey is sending out reminder emails to help boost the numbers for our spring
registrations.
Summer Camp: Registrations are starting to come in. Camp staffing is well under way.
The Extended School Year (ESY) will be integrating into our camp, Mondays –Thursdays this summer. The ESY campers will be joining in on some activities/field trips
with their full staff accompanying them, including a nurse.
Celebrations: Nancy Felsheim has officially replaced Chrissy Long. The Patriot’ day
events went well and were enjoyed by all. The Fourth of July fireworks bid was awarded
to the same company as in previous years, Atlas Fireworks.
Facilities:
Pool: Staffing for the pool is all set for the June 6th opening day. The baby pool has
been readied and the main pool has been drained, power washed and is ready for
painting. New drain covers have been ordered as well. We have 80 non-resident
registrations with 12 on a wait list. The resident registrations are slowly coming in. We
are offering a chance to buy a used swim team suit this year as part of a fundraiser. We
will sell the donated suits for $20.00.
Tennis: The courts are being worked on and will be completed by April 14th. There has
been a request to install wind shields on the courts. Dan will look into it.
Fields: The fields have been lined and will be opening on April 14th, except for Town
Offices, as they are still too wet to use. The two baseball diamonds have been made
ready as well. The Lincoln Soccer Club has requested field usage for this season.
Policies:
After discussion, it was decided to offer a Senior Citizen Financial Aid option. Requests
to the senior scholarship program will be made in writing/emails to the Rec. office.
Seniors will be able to take tennis lessons without the purchase of a tennis sticker.
Finances:
We discussed the camp scholarship program. May 1st is the deadline for this year’
requests.
The Triathlon proceeds will be going to our campership fund this year. We will continue
this discussion with updates at the May meeting.
General/Revolving Fund: We reviewed the revolving and general fund numbers. Our
numbers are better than last year at this time.
Next Meetings: 5/18/09, 6/15/09
