Minutes of the Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting on March 6, 2008
Meeting convened at 7:35 pm in the Donaldson Conference Room at Town Offices. Present: John Kimball, Chair, Steve Daigle, Anna Hardman, Joel Freedman, Jeff Macklin, and Win Quayle, and Dorothy Blakeley, ZBA Clerk.
New Matters:
Lynne Smith and Edmund Lang, 5 Tabor Hill Road, M/P 69 8 1, are seeking a special permit for an addition to the rear of the house. Ms. Smith appeared with her contractor, Robert Doran of Doran construction. The house was built in 1981 and currently has a 10 x 24 deck on the back of the house. The current kitchen is also located on the back of the house and is undersized and dark. Ms. Smith would like to replace the existing deck with a room on the same footprint with sliding glass doors and casement windows. This would allow them to enlarge the kitchen area and add a family room while not enlarging the existing footprint. The roof line of the new family room would mimic the existing roof line and the deck that will be removed will not be replaced. Ms. Smith has letters of
support from the neighbors. Motion to close the record approved unanimously.

Julia Miner, 67 Baker Bridge Road, M/P 56 10 2. Ms Miner appeared before the ZBA in 2006 and received approval for 2 story garage/barn with an art studio on the 2nd floor, and included a covered walkway and a future screened porch. They have since altered their plans slightly and are here for approval of these proposed changes Ms. Miner showed the plans which reflect the screened porch changed to a breakfast and mudroom; plus an addition of a new screened porch, 6 x 12, an additional 72 square feet. Motion to close the record approved unanimously.
